ISK is a national level design competition for university students based on international karting rules and guidelines
The teams from all over India have the task of designing a single seated go-kart with either combustion or electric drivetrain and manufacture a functional prototype. They can also decide if it'll have innovative features enabling them to compete in the ISK
Along with these technical aspects, teams must develop a viable business plan and marketing concepts for batch production of the vehicle.
Teams will compete in 3 Rounds
The prime objective is to design, analysis and documentation of the Go-kart vehicle. The design should be complete in all respects to the extent of being considered ready‐to‐Manufacturing. The teams will be evaluated based on their knowledge of the basic automotive design, analysis and documentation about the Go-Kart design and manufacturing requirements. No elimination of teams who are appearing for the virtual round.
Objective of Static round is to provide a platform to young budding engineers for showcasing their new designing and business skills & ideas.
The kart that the students will design will not only be assessed when stationary. Their performance on the racetrack will also be put to the test. Each dynamic event tests different fearures of the vehicles. In addition to the maximun longitudinal and lateral acceleration, race performance, efficiency and endurance of the karts will be examined and evaluated. For the acceleration skid pad and Maneuverability events, each car starts with two drivers and are allowed with two attempts. The best attempt is the one on which the car will be scored.
About Blaze Motorsports
“You must always strive to be the best, but you must never believe that you are”
– Juan Manuel Fangio
The spark of Blaze Motorsport was ignited during our participation days in Karting events in India. We were hopeful, enthusiastic and somewhat rebellious students, and in our journey we saw some high points along with some failures as well. While we were certainly glad and thankful that these events provided us an opportunity to showcase our talent and vision, there was a growing sense of discomfort with most of the karting events.
As we raced more, it dawned on us that this feeling of discomfort is not exclusive. Majority of the student karting community felt disillusioned with events having faced partiality, injustice or unfair judging practices at some point or other.
This growing need to have a fair, balanced, professional karting event for students lead us to Blaze Motorsports. We intend to provide the hardest challenges students have ever faced, but only on racing tracks. Our vision is to provide an open road to all karting talent across the country with an honest and transparent mainframe. An event where students can aspire to learn and strive for greatness; without tasting bitter pills of injustice. They say sports is a great leveler, we at Blaze Motorsports want everyone to have a great race on an equal playing field.
